My Story

Raised in the Midwest, I’ve been involved in art since a very young age. It wasn’t until college that I found my stride in illustration and portraiture. I’ve explored all mediums from oil painting, watercolor, printmaking, to charcoal, pencil, and most notably pen. I double majored in Fine Arts and Art History in college, and continued my studies at Parsons the New School for Design in New York City. I received my degree in Fashion Design in 2011. Working mostly freelance, one of my most notable moments was creating tshirt graphics for Battenwear in Spring/Sumer ’17. I currently reside in California, growing my portfolio in portraiture and graphic design. My inspiration is still rooted in fashion illustration and portraiture. Contrast is an important characteristic in my work, and is apparent because pen is cut and dry or black and white. I do not sketch beforehand in pencil and start immediately with pen. If I make a mistake I live with it, accept it, and continue on with my work.
